Terms of Service

Last updated September 2026

These terms apply to your use of taxfly.co.uk (the "site"), including its calculators, checks, decision tools, guides and free accounts. Please read them. By using the site you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

1. Who we are

TaxFly is operated by Radiant Vibes Ltd, a private limited company registered in England and Wales under company number 17082185. Our registered office is Unit 50 New Lydenburg Street, London, England, SE7 8NE. You can contact us at hello@taxfly.co.uk or through our contact page.

TaxFly is an independent publisher. We are not HMRC, we are not part of or endorsed by any government body, and we cannot see or act on anyone's HMRC records.

2. Information, not advice

Everything on TaxFly is general information and estimates about the UK tax system, published for education. It is not personal tax, financial, investment or legal advice, and it is not a recommendation to take any course of action.

  • We are not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, and nothing on the site is a regulated personal recommendation.
  • Using the site does not create an accountant–client, adviser–client or any other professional relationship.
  • Our tools only know what you tell them. Your full circumstances can change the right answer significantly.

Before making a decision that matters, check it with GOV.UK or HMRC, or take advice from a qualified accountant or tax adviser. Our disclaimer explains the limits of the tools in more detail.

3. Accuracy and tax years

We build our calculators from the rates and rules published by HMRC, HM Treasury, Revenue Scotland and the Welsh Revenue Authority, and we explain our method on how we calculate. Tax rules change, usually at each Budget and on 6 April, and there can be a gap between an announcement and our tools being updated. Always check which tax year a result relates to. We do our best to keep everything correct, but we do not promise that the site is complete, error-free or up to date at all times.

If you find an error, please tell us. We correct confirmed mistakes promptly.

4. Using the site

You may use TaxFly free of charge for your own personal, lawful purposes. You must not:

  • use the site in a way that breaks any law, or to mislead anyone about their tax position;
  • try to gain unauthorised access to the site, its servers or other users' accounts, or interfere with its security or operation;
  • scrape, crawl or copy the site at scale, or use automated means to access it other than through ordinary search-engine indexing;
  • introduce viruses or other harmful code; or
  • republish or sell our content, or present it as your own, except as allowed in section 7.

5. Free accounts

You do not need an account to use the site. If you create one, you must give accurate details and keep your sign-in secure, and you are responsible for activity under your account. Accounts are personal and must not be shared. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. You can close your account at any time by emailing us from the address on the account, and its data is deleted as described in our privacy policy.

6. Saved results

Results and answers you save are kept for your convenience. TaxFly is not a record-keeping or backup service, and it does not replace the records HMRC requires you to keep. Keep your own copies of anything you need.

7. Our content and embedding

The site's text, calculators, code, design and graphics belong to Radiant Vibes Ltd or its licensors and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property rights. You may view them, print or save pages for your own use, quote short extracts with a link back to the page, and share links freely.

You may embed our calculators on your own website using the code on our embed page, provided you do not alter them, hide the attribution, or suggest that TaxFly endorses you. We may change or withdraw an embed at any time.

8. Advertising and partner links

The site is paid for by advertising and by commission on some partner links. Partner links are labelled. A partner cannot pay to change our figures, our rankings or what we say. If you buy from a partner, your contract is with them, on their terms. How we are funded is set out in our affiliate disclosure.

9. Other websites

We link to other sites, including GOV.UK and HMRC, for your convenience. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices. A link is not an endorsement.

10. Availability

We provide the site free of charge and "as available". We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of it, and it may occasionally be unavailable for maintenance or for reasons outside our control.

11. Our responsibility to you

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot be limited or excluded under the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.

Subject to that:

  • Because the site is free and provides general information rather than advice, we are not responsible for loss that results from your decision to rely on an estimate or explanation without checking it against official guidance or professional advice.
  • We are not responsible for loss that was not reasonably foreseeable when you used the site, or for loss caused by events outside our reasonable control.
  • If you use the site for business purposes, we have no liability to you for loss of profit, revenue, business, contracts or opportunity, or for any indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability to you in connection with the site is limited to £100.

12. Complaints

If you are unhappy with anything on the site, email hello@taxfly.co.uk and tell us what went wrong. We will acknowledge your complaint and aim to resolve it within 14 days. Complaints about your personal data can also be made to the Information Commissioner's Office.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms, for example when we add a feature or the law changes. The "last updated" date above shows the current version, which applies from the moment it is published. If a change materially affects account holders, we will tell them by email.

14. General

If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest remains in force. If we do not enforce a right straight away, we can still enforce it later. Only you and we have rights under these terms.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in the courts where you live.
