What has changed in your life?

Tax follows life, not the other way round. Pick what has happened and we will show you what changes, what it is worth, and what to do next.

Why life events, not tax types

Nobody wakes up wanting to know their marginal rate. They have just had a child, or gone self-employed, or been given a pay rise that turned out to be worth less than it looked. The tax consequences of one life event are scattered across half a dozen rules that have nothing else in common, and no single calculator holds them together.

Each page below does. It says what actually changes, what each change is worth, the deadlines the event itself creates, and which of our decision tools and calculators are worth your time now rather than in general.

If you would rather start from the money, the free tax check asks eight questions and shows the reliefs your situation suggests you are missing.
